Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy
Version 1.0 ·
Approved by Vladimir Proskurin, Director
How we make sure everyone we work with or employ is treated fairly and with respect.
1. Our commitment
Riviera Designs Ltd is committed to equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion in employment, in the services we provide and in how we treat clients, suppliers and the public. We will not tolerate discrimination, harassment or victimisation.
2. Legal framework
We comply with the Equality Act 2010. We do not discriminate on the grounds of any protected characteristic: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.
3. Recruitment and work
We recruit, engage, pay, train and promote people (employees, freelancers and subcontractors) on merit, skills and suitability for the role. We make reasonable adjustments for disabled people.
4. Our services
We design websites and digital products that are accessible and inclusive. We build to WCAG 2.2 level AA and design for a wide range of users, including disabled people and people using assistive technology.
5. Public-sector work
When we deliver services for a public body, we support it in meeting its Public Sector Equality Duty under section 149 of the Equality Act 2010.
6. Subcontractors
We expect our subcontractors and freelancers to follow the same standards, and we include this in our agreements with them.
7. Raising concerns
Anyone who experiences or sees discrimination, harassment or bullying can raise it in confidence with the Director. Complaints will be investigated promptly and fairly, and no one will be treated less favourably for raising a concern in good faith.
8. Responsibility and review
The Director is responsible for this policy. We review it at least once a year.
